How do I register my team for a tournament?

Teams can register online at https://playprimetime.com/events.

What do different competitive levels mean?

Elite- Teams which play a national or extensive regional schedule at the elite level, seeking the highest level of competition.

Select– Accomplished teams which play regional/local schedule, seeking a strong level of competition but not at the Elite level.

Developmental– Rec and developmental level teams that primarily play similar level of competition

How do I make a schedule request?

Schedule requests can be made within the registration form online.  If you need to make a schedule request after their registration has been submitted email us at basketball@playprimetime.com. No requests will be taken for the National Championship. No phone requests can be made!

When is the registration deadline for a tournament?

We take registrations until Tuesday 11:59 PM the week of the tournament.  All registrations received after the 11:59 PM deadline will be placed on a Wait List. Please note that the registration deadline for Nationals is different. 

Do you offer multi-team discounts?

Yes, each different event series will offer different multi-team discounts. Please contact our Basketball team for more details: 972-355-3788 Ext. 2

How do I make payment for a tournament?

Teams that register for any tournament can pay online with their Visa, M/C, Discover or Amex credit card during registration.  Teams can also call the PTS office with their credit card information. PERSONAL CHECKS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.

What payment types are accepted?

Money order, certified checks, and all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express) No personal checks accepted.

How many coaches' passes are included in my entry fee?

Two coaches’ passes and one table worker pass (3 Total) for all regular season events. 

Two coaches’ passes (2 Total) for all Exposure and Sponsorship events.

Can a player play on two different teams within the same division?

No, a player can only play on one team within a single division of any tournament.

Can a player play in two different grade divisions?

Yes, a player can play in more than one GRADE division of any tournament, provided the player is playing on the second team in a higher division than his/her initial division.  (Example:  If a player is in 6th grade and plays on a 6th grade team that player can also play up on another team).

Can a player who has failed (any grade) twice, still play in the (any grade) division?

No, they cannot.  A player cannot be more than one (1) year older than the corresponding age for the grade division.  For this purpose only, the corresponding ages are 4th/10, 5th/11, 6th/12, 7th/13, 8th/14, 9th/15, 10th/16, 11th-12th/18.

Can a player play up?

Yes, a player can always play up.

Can a player play down a grade level?

No, a player cannot play down a grade level.  They must play in their current grade level or any grade above.

Can girls play in boy's division or vice versa?

No, girls cannot play in boy’s divisions and boys cannot play in girl’s divisions. No exceptions.

How many players can I have on my roster?

There is not a limit to the number of players on your roster for regular events.

Do you charge admission? If so, what are the admission prices?

What is the PTS cancellation/refund policy?

–  A team withdrawing an entry on or before the entry deadline for a tournament will receive a full cash refund of the Entry Fee, provided that the withdrawal must be made by email to basketball@playprimetime.com

– Any withdrawal after the entry deadline for a tournament will be considered to be a Late Withdrawal.  The Entry Fee for a Late Withdrawal will be handled as follows:

  1. If a fully paid entry is found to replace the withdrawing team, the withdrawing team can receive a refund or apply funds to a future tournament.
  2. If a fully paid entry is not secured to replace the withdrawing team, no amount of the Entry Fee will be refunded or credited.
  3. Any withdrawal from an event by a team within 48 hours of the event will also be assessed a Forfeit Fee in accordance with the Game Forfeit Rules.

Refunds

-If your division doesn’t make, your team will be refunded the full amount paid or can transfer the payment to another tournament.

-If your team attends the tournament and another team doesn’t show up your team will get a tournament credit (Forfeit Credit), to be applied to a future tournament.

When will the basketball schedules be posted?

Dallas/Houston schedules will be posted by 5 PM on Wednesday the week of the tournament. If a special circumstance should arise a notice will be posted on the schedule page of that specific tournament.

How do I find out where I will be playing?

We will not know where a specific division is playing until the schedules are completed and posted to the website.

Can I request to play at a specific location?

No, we do not take requests for specific locations. 

What is the tournament team check in process?

Teams must check-in at the gate at least 30 minutes prior to your first game. Teams will be provided with a coach’s packet which will include two coaches’ passes and one table worker pass.  Teams must submit the Roster/ Participation Agreement & Waiver Form to the PTS office before playing their first game.  Each team must have copies of birth certificates and grade report cards on site for each player.

Do you seed your tournaments?

Yes, we seed our tournaments based on prior tournament results. 

Nationals

What is the entry fee for the National Basketball Championship?

Early Bird Deadline (June 3, 2025):                $495

Entry Deadline (July 1, 2025):                        $595

Do you offer a multi team discount?

  • $40 OFF for 4 Teams
  • $50 OFF for 5+ Teams

What is the refund policy?

Any withdrawal after the entry deadline for a tournament will be considered to be a Late Withdrawal.  The Entry Fee for a Late Withdrawal will be handled as follows:

3.1. Any withdrawal received after the entry deadline, July 1, 2025, but on or before July 15, 2025, PrimeTime Sports shall retain an administrative fee of $250 and the balance will be refunded to them.

3.2.  For any withdrawal received on or after July 16, 2025, there will be no amount refunded to the team.

3.3.  Any withdrawal must be submitted by email to nbc@playprimetime.com. A withdrawal will not be considered made until it is completed as directed. NO phone or fax withdrawals will be allowed.

3.4.  Any refunds due to a team will be made on or before September 19, 2025.

Do you seed the tournament?

Yes, we do seed the National tournament based on Exposure Series Event tournament results and past performances. 

How many games are guaranteed?

Four game guarantee, with half the field playing five or more games.

When will the final schedule be posted?

Schedules will be posted by 12:00 PM Saturday, July 19, 2025.

Can I make a scheduling request to play on a certain time or day?

No, we do not accept scheduling requests for the National Basketball Championship.  Each team must be prepared to play at any time Thursday, July 24, 2025 – Sunday, July 27, 2025.

How many players can I have on my roster?

12 players per roster; additional players are $15.00 per player up to 15.

What is the last possible date I can make changes to my roster?

All rosters must be submitted by 5:00 PM on Friday, July 18, 2025 to avoid a $100 Late Document Fee. All submissions after 5:00 PM will be considered late and assessed a $100 Late Document Fee.

Roster and Parent Waivers will be available in June 2025.

Where can I pick up credentials if my player lost his/hers?

–          ASC: 2800 North Interstate 35E Carrollton, TX 75007

–          Duncanville Field House: 1700 South Main St. Duncanville, TX 75137

*If your team already has 12 athletes on their roster, you will be required to purchase a replacement credential for $15*

Why does my team only receive two coaches' passes for Nationals?

During the regular season, PrimeTime Sports does not provide table workers, allowing PrimeTime to provide an additional coaches pass for a team to provide their own table worker. 

PrimeTime Sports provides table workers for all games during the National Basketball Championship, eliminating the need for teams to provide their own table workers.

Can my team have a 3rd coach? If so, is there a fee?

Yes, teams are allowed to purchase an additional (3rd) Coaches’ Credential for $50. The 3rd Coaches’ Credential may be purchased ahead of time through the front office or at Coaches’ Check-In on Wednesday, July 23, 2025.

Am I required to stay in a host hotel?

Yes, unless your team is from Dallas, Collin, Tarrant, Rockwall, or Denton countries, your team is required to book one of the host hotels through our Housing Partner TeamINN.

How close do I have to live to be exempt from housing?

You must live in Dallas, Tarrant, Rockwall, Collin, or Denton Counties

Where do I go to see what gym I'm playing my games?

Schedules will be posted with exact times and locations on Saturday, July 19, 2025. You can see which locations are in each pod by visiting our website under the Facilities/Pods link.

What documents are permissible for proof of grade?

Report cards, progress reports, Student ID’s that include school year and grade level, and standardized testing scores.

What documents are permissible as proof of age?

Birth certificates, passports, and driver’s license if applicable.

Why do you require two types of documentation?

To ensure all athletes are the appropriate grade/age.

What if my team can't check-in on Wednesday at coaches' check-in?

PrimeTime Sports will provide a Late Check-In for teams unable to attend Coaches’ Check-In on Wednesday. Teams checking in late will be assessed a $150 Late Check-In Fee to pick up their Coaches’ Packet at one of the designated locations.

Who can pick up my coaches packet at check-in?

Any team representative can pick up your team’s credentials.
